I have formulated these glazes to enhance my garden designs.

The terms oxidation and reduction refer to how much oxygen is in the kiln's atmosphere while the kiln is firing. An oxidation atmosphere has plenty of oxygen for the fuel to burn. A reduction atmosphere occurs when the amount of available oxygen is reduced. Put simply, I fire my stoneware in an electric kiln.

My stoneware pottery is mid-range, fired to 2200 degrees F. It is both functional and food safe.

Work available by special order only.

Stoneware Oxidation Fired

This body of work

was inspired by my love of gardening. Many of the pieces are for use in the garden.

I press real leaves into the clay, almost creating fossils. Adding grapevine and reed to the ceramic leaves adds to the outdoor style of this work.
